Should I Run [Lee Rosevere remix]

by Kristen Martell

/
1.
You know it’s time to turn the lights down low and take it slow. When resentment dances on our lips and graces our skin. With words thick as smoke and soft like ash, we choke in vain. Unwanted visitors, our contempt brings only pain. Should I run or should I hide. Take cover. I cannot decide. Should I run. I cannot decide. Up around the bend of good intentions. Open skies and golden rays pour down again. But it’s not long before we see the enemy. In the distance they have their eyes on me. Should I run or should I hide. Take cover. I cannot decide. Should I run. I cannot decide. Bridge Maybe the answers found in standing still Should I run or should I hide. Take cover. I cannot decide. Should I run. I cannot decide.

Singer/songwriter Kristen Martell, and prolific award winning composer of electronic pop/ambient music Lee Rosevere, have collaborated on this remix to bring you the perfect track for your summer road trip. Rhythmically hypnotic and catchy it will make you want to move. “I was blown away with what he created,” says Martell. “I wasn’t sure what to expect, but upon the first listen I knew I had to release it.” The delicate vocals will leave you in a warm dreamy haze, ready to take on the flow of summer.

The unlikely collaboration took place online when Rosevere approached Martell. With Rosevere’s ambient electronica influence he was able to create a unique and catchy ambient soundscape to Martell’s original version. A fun and fresh twist to Martell’s usual repertoire, it’s sure to be a summer favourite.

An official music video of Martell dancing freely in the moss covered forest is a reminder that it is time to shake off any negative baggage we may be carrying and embrace this summer season with open hearts. It’s been a long winter. It’s time.

Martell’s forthcoming record Every Season is scheduled for release on September 30, 2022.
